Bowling for Bowler Hats: Opening Ceremonies

Welcome, welcome, one and all. I have created this blog as a fresh start of sorts. I kept another online journal for nearly six years of on and off posting, some most of which was rather bleh and melodramatic. So here I am, hoping to change the self-pity that fueled my old blog into something much more interesting, readable, and meaningful.

And that concludes my opening remarks.

Now, to business. I am not overly fond of speaking the word blogspot. I mean, really, just say it out loud a couple of times and enunciate clearly. Notice how your lips kind of pucker with the first syllable, and then rapidly switch gears and open wide on the second? Yeah. That just feels gross to me. So, I shall pronounce it b-log-spot. I know it's stupid, but at least it doesn't feel like I'm trying to rid my mouth of a bad taste when I say it.

Item number two: I am on the fence about advertisements on this blog. Chances are, if I ever decide to put up ads, they will only be on the sidebar. For now though, Bowling for Bowler Hats will remain one hundred percent locally grown organic Blog.

Point C: Allie Brosh is my hero. I'm pretty sure that at some point I am bound to take some pointers from the way she writes and presents her blog, most especially the addition of pictures to posts. I know Allie is not the first person to add photos or drawings to her blog posts, but she is my inspiration and as such, she deserves mention.

Bullet point Delta: I do not know how my update schedule will run, nor the content of said updates. I am running in to this blind and the only thing I know for sure is that I don't want this blog to turn into a repeat performance of my last attempt at writing to the internet at large. No more angsty, whining, long winded rants. Nobody wants to read that. So, I am going to try to be more entertaining, uplifting, and Lord willing, I will even make some of you laugh once in awhile.

In conclusion: B-Log-Spot, not Blogspot. No ads. I will probably be accused of ripping off the too-awesome-for-words Allie(Seriously if you haven't clicked that link I will hunt you down and pee on your doorknob), and no being a bitch about things. It is now safe to exit the vehicle. Please make sure to gather all of your belongings before exiting to the right.
